COURSE OVERVIEW
Lights, camera… perform! This May half term, Italia Conti’s – Movie Musicals Week invites students to step into the magical world of musical films and bring iconic moments from the big screen to life.
Throughout the week, students will explore songs, choreography and performance inspired by much-loved movie musicals such as Wicked, Mary Poppins and La La Land, focusing on storytelling, character and performance style – just like they would for screen.
This week places a strong emphasis on performance for camera and stage, with core musical theatre skills classes woven throughout to help students develop versatility, confidence and expressive performance skills. Students will also take part in a range of creative, hands-on workshops designed to explore different sides of the industry and encourage imagination, collaboration and individuality. With something new happening every day, this week offers a fresh and exciting experience.
The week will finish with a friendly end-of-week sharing for friends and family, giving students the chance to showcase their work and celebrate everything they’ve achieved together.
