Since 1911, we’ve delivered performing arts training – and we’re also its future. This means there has never been a more exciting time to join us!
Italia Conti is one of the UK’s leading performing arts colleges. We offer world-class vocational training in Musical Theatre, Dance and Acting at FE and HE level. Our journey is one of continual evolution and we are always seeking talented individuals to join our team.
For further information about the vacancies we currently have available, please look below.
Applicants must have an unblemished, proven record of success and share Italia Conti’s commitment to safeguarding, equal opportunities and promoting the performing arts. All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and online / public domain checks in accordance with safer recruitment procedures.
Application for vacant posts is by completion of our standard Application Form and Equal Opportunities Monitoring Forms. The Application Form requires a Supporting Statement where applicants are asked to set out their interest in the role and how they meet the essential criteria for the post (akin to a covering letter). For this, we are happy to accept instead a short (no longer than 5 minutes) video should applicants prefer. Please complete both forms and send them, together with a link to a video where appropriate, to recruitment@italiaconti.co.uk, stating clearly in the subject line of the e-mail the job title of the post for which you are applying.

Do you have a passion for performing arts training and events?
Would you thrive in a dynamic, creative environment where no two days are the same?
And would you relish the opportunity to work in a multifaceted role supporting the successful delivery of our exciting portfolio of new short courses, managing Italia Conti Associates and supporting Italia Conti productions and events?
At Italia Conti we’re expanding our short courses over the course of the coming year. This exciting new post combines being at the forefront of providing the support that underpins the successful delivery of these new courses with working alongside our Events & Outreach Manager in support of Italia Conti events and productions. In addition, the postholder will take on a management role in the smooth-running of our flagship Italia Conti Woking Associates Saturday School for children and young people aged 4-18.
It’s a hugely varied role that bridges our academic and teaching teams with our public-facing activity. From ensuring the smooth operation of our short courses to providing a welcoming experience for all, your contribution will be vital to our continued growth and impact.
The post involves working on Saturdays during term-time, but could revert to a Monday to Friday working pattern outside of the academic terms.

Do you have experience of supporting students with additional learning needs or a keen interest in this area?
Would you relish the unique opportunity to support our talented students training for the performing arts with written assignments?
We’re looking for an experienced SEN tutor or a graduate student to provide individualised learning support to students training on our diploma and degree courses in Acting, Dance and Musical Theatre.
Ideally, you’ll have a good undergraduate degree/diploma in a relevant discipline or a thorough understanding and awareness of dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD/neurodiversity and the impact that these conditions can have on individual learners so as to provide appropriate support in written English, constructing an argument and structuring essays and assignments. In addition, a good understanding of the range of support available for students with these conditions, such as the Disabled Students’ Allowance, is also a requirement of the post.
An awareness of performing arts training and an interest in the drama/musical theatre canon would be a bonus but is not essential.
If this sounds like an opportunity that would inspire you we would love to hear from you.
Our classes run from 8.00am-8.15pm, Monday to Saturday, and individual consultations are arranged with students throughout the week. The 22.5 hours-per-week for this part-time post would be spread across our opening hours from Monday to Saturday, (ideally on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays although we could be flexible for the right candidate).
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Only applicants shortlisted for interview will be contacted.
“I have just graduated from Liverpool Theatre School with a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre. I wanted to do the BA Hons (Top Up) in Professional Arts Practice course to further develop my skills for the industry. It is the perfect balance between academic writing and creativity. I already have seen improvements, both in my academic and performing work, and I now really value the ability to critically reflect on past experiences in order to improve my current skills.”
“I have found that my first term at Italia Conti has been better than I could’ve imagined. I am working with driven, passionate, likeminded people within all different realms of the performing arts industry. I find that the course is very tailored to each individual and the content is broad enough to apply to everyone but specific enough to challenge each person within their abilities. I find the course to be a place where I can collaborate and interact with people who I’d never had met otherwise. I only look forward to what the next few months of the course bring and feel more motivated than ever.”
Current Student, Class of July 2024“The course is allowing me to reflect on my past practice, current position, and future endeavours. I really enjoy how flexible the course is, with regards to being able to tailor my studies to my own practice, enabling me to maximise the benefits of this on my future career. I expect my professional development to be impacted exponentially and I am excited to continue!”
“Italia Conti’s BA Top up course was the one for me! Creating a business in under 9 months has been a massive accomplishment! The course really helps shape your future, enables you to meet professional contacts to support your research, and gives you lots of time to understand the area of the industry you want to specialise in.”

I’m a dancer in LA and can’t keep up with my peers on how often they take dance classes. This channel has been so helpful for me to keep up my training. Thank you for sharing this with the world. I feel like we are all dancing together even though we are all doing this at different times and in different spaces. 🖤
