COURSE OVERVIEW

This two-week intensive is designed for actors who sing — performers ready to explore the dynamic intersection of acting and musical theatre, modelled on the core training of Italia Conti’s BA (Hons) Acting (Musical Theatre) degree.

Throughout the programme, you’ll develop essential skills that define the contemporary actor-singer, including:

  • Acting through song — unlocking emotional truth and character in musical performance
  • Sondheim in focus — exploring the work of the master of musical theatre storytelling
  • Core acting technique — scene study, character development, and text work
  • Voice for the actor — breath, resonance, and clarity for both spoken and sung text
  • Movement and physical storytelling — building body awareness and stagecraft
  • Musical theatre workshops — learning repertoire and ensemble work from a range of styles and eras

Each day will challenge you to refine your technique, deepen your understanding of character, and connect fully with text and music. Whether you are preparing for auditions, full-time training, or professional opportunities, this course will help you take your craft to the next level.

Ideal for young performers and emerging artists seeking serious, skills-based development.
