Acting Short Courses

Acting Short Courses

If you’re looking for acting short courses to give your skillset a little boost, our Audition Ready courses are a brilliant option. These two-day masterclasses are designed for aspiring performers who are preparing to audition for drama schools or conservatoires.

Our acting short courses are designed for performing arts students aged 15+. They are hands-on, short courses run by experienced tutors and tailored to the specific demands of UK drama school auditions.

Our next Audition Ready short acting course will run on the 29th & 30th October, 2025.

What Is the Audition Ready Acting Course?

Our focused, two-day, short-acting course is built to help you approach your auditions with skill, clarity and complete confidence. Whether you’re applying to Italia Conti or another institution, this course will equip you with the tools you need to stand out in the audition room.

Throughout the 2-day programme, students receive 1:1 coaching, taking part in workshops and working intensively on a range of acting skills. The course mirrors real audition conditions, whilst also offering space for feedback and personal development.

Who Is the Course For?

Italia Conti’s acting short course is ideal for:

  • Students considering full-time actor training
  • Individuals preparing for drama school auditions in the UK
  • Performers seeking professional coaching in a supportive, high-level environment
  • Those aiming to build confidence and audition-readiness through practical experience
  • Students completing GCSEs who are considering moving to a performing arts school for further education

Tips for Making the Most of Your Acting Short Course

To get the best out of your time at our Audition Ready short acting course, come prepared and open to learning. Here are a few simple tips to help you make the most of the experience:

  • Prepare your material in advance: Have your monologues well-rehearsed so you can focus on developing them in class, rather than learning lines.
  • Be open to feedback: The course is a safe space to take risks and grow. Feedback is designed to help you, not perfect you.
  • Engage fully in group sessions: These offer valuable insight into the types of exercises drama schools use during auditions.
  • Ask questions: The tutors are there to help, so make sure you use their experience to your advantage.
  • Reflect afterwards: Take notes, revisit your material, and apply what you’ve learned beyond the two days.

With the right mindset, this course can be a powerful stepping stone toward your future training, plus it can help you feel more prepared for when that important audition comes around.
