About Us
Italia Conti Associates Peterborough delivers excellent Saturday morning classes in Musical Theatre, Dance, Acting, and Singing.
Classes are offered to students between 5 and 18 years. Whether it is for recreation, physical and social development, or as a serious step towards a long-term career in the performing arts, the emphasis is always on enjoyment and first-class training.
No audition is required, as we wish to encourage participation in the arts for all students.
Italia Conti has always recognised that the industry demands excellent standards of training in all areas. Our aim has always been to develop courses that fulfil these goals.
Italia Conti’s reputation is renowned throughout the world, and demand for its training has expanded beyond the commuting practicalities of a solely London-based centre.
Principal James and Vice Principal Molly-Marie are proud to bring this connection to the professional performing arts industry to the East Midlands.
Timetable
Termly Fees
Individual classes are charged at £9.50 per hour, calculated across the academic year and paid monthly via Direct Debit.
A discount is applied for students taking all four classes:

What We Do
Acting
Fun and engaging lessons that build self-confidence whilst exploring a range of performance techniques and theatrical styles.
Students work on modern and classical scripts, devising, improvisation, and physical theatre under the guidance of inspiring tutors.
Dance
Classes teaching the core fundamentals of dance technique through genres including Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Commercial.
Students develop musicality, stamina, flexibility, and strength whilst building dedication, motivation, and performance skills.
Musical Theatre
Training focused on combining dancing, singing, and acting to create exciting and believable triple-threat performances.
Students work on age-appropriate and varied repertoire from the world of Musical Theatre.
Singing
Group singing classes featuring varied repertoire from Musical Theatre and Pop.
Students develop confidence and vocal ability in a safe, friendly, and supportive environment, with opportunities for solo singing where desired.
James Timpson
Principal
James trained on the BA Hons Acting course at Italia Conti and is now a represented professional actor.
He grew up within a performing arts environment, attending regular classes at his mother’s dance school before progressing to full-time professional training.
James has also taught Acting for a number of years, leading classes at Italia Conti Associates Guildford.
Italia Conti has a rich history of developing performers for theatre, television, and film, including many of James’ own former classmates, and he is delighted to bring this training to the East Midlands.

Entry Requirements
Age Range
For students aged 5 to 18 years.
Entry
No audition is required for our classes, as we wish to encourage participation in the arts for all abilities. We offer a free trial session before you commit to enrolling. This can be arranged by contacting the Principal directly.
Uniform
Students are required to wear the Italia Conti Associate uniform, consisting of:
- Italia Conti t-shirt
- Black bottoms or leggings
- Suitable footwear
Additional Information
The safety and wellbeing of our students is of paramount importance at Italia Conti Associates.
Our students are taught and cared for by experienced, trained, DBS-checked staff, and a minimum of two trained First Aiders are always present.
We recommend students bring plenty of water and snacks with them to sessions.
Many of our students progress onto our full-time professional training courses.
The Associate classes and courses are the perfect stepping stone for this.
Italia Conti has close links with the professional world of performing arts, and we draw on these links to enhance the experience of our students.
We offer workshops and masterclasses where specialists in their fields share their knowledge and experience. Additional workshops are also offered through holiday courses.
Italia Conti Associate Schools regularly take part in productions to showcase their work, and this is often a highlight of the year for many students.
The Italia Conti Agency holds auditions for Associate School students to gain representation.
Successful students have been put forward for a variety of roles across television and theatre.
