The vocational examination timetable runs weekly on Saturdays during term time:
9:30 – 11:00 | Intermediate Modern 11:15 – 12:45 | Intermediate Tap 13:00 – 14:30 | Advanced Tap 14:45 – 16:15 | Advanced Modern
We are currently offering Vocational Grades in ISTD Modern and Tap, to complement our Vocational provision in RAD Ballet.
The syllabus content provides a strong technical basis which develops through the grades to support the dancer at each stage of their journey, and the vocational grades compliment both professional dance and teacher training.
A successful pass at Intermediate Examination will confer UCAS points, and also allow entry onto several Teacher Training courses, including the Diploma in Dance Education, also offered by Italia Conti.

The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing Vocational Grades Programme provide a laddered in-depth study of Modern and/or Tap, developing music, performance and technique. The exam syllabus is highly focused and practical. Students are required to have the maturity and technical aptitude for demanding study. In addition to classes, students will be expected to revise exercise formats and technical corrections in their own time and be expected to do their own self-study.

Summer Term 2024: Saturday 27th April 2024 – Saturday 13th July 2024 Half term: Saturday 25th May and Saturday 1st June 2024
Tuition Fees | from Autumn Term 2022
The cost of each term per level per class will be £138.00.
Students are advised that exam fees levied by the Examination Boards are in addition to the course fees quoted above. Students will be invoiced their exam fees upon application for entering an examination.
