Since 1911, we have delivered over one hundred years of performing arts training – and we are also its future. This means there has never been a more exciting time to join us!
Italia Conti is one of the UK’s leading performing arts colleges. We offer world-class vocational training in Musical Theatre, Dance and Acting at FE and HE level. Our journey is one of continual evolution and we are always seeking talented individuals to join our team.
For further information about the vacancies we currently have available, please look below.
Applicants must have an unblemished, proven record of success and share Italia Conti’s commitment to safeguarding, equal opportunities and promoting the performing arts. All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and online / public domain checks in accordance with safer recruitment procedures.
Application for vacant posts is by completion of our standard Application Form and Equal Opportunities Monitoring Forms. The Application Form requires a Supporting Statement where applicants are asked to set out their interest in the role and how they meet the essential criteria for the post (akin to a covering letter). For this, we are happy to accept instead a short (no longer than 5 minutes) video should applicants prefer. Please complete both forms and send them, together with a link to a video where appropriate, to firstname.lastname@example.org, stating clearly in the subject line of the e-mail the job title of the post for which you are applying.
Would you relish the opportunity to lead on the Health & Safety and management of the brand-new flagship campus of one of Britain’s leading performing arts institutions?
We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Health & Safety and Building Manager to join our team, based at our brand-new flagship site in Woking. Our new campus opened its doors in September 2022. It comprises 24 stunning, state-of-the-art studios and our own in-house theatre.
With 550 students of Acting, Musical Theatre and Dance studying full-time on our diploma and degree programmes, our Saturday Associate School and community classes, we’re a hive of activity from dawn ‘til dusk during term-time. We love what we do, and that’s why it’s imperative that your conversance with Health & Safety law and building management is matched with experience or a keen interest in the theatre and performing arts.
We’re located within the Victoria Place development in central Woking. The role encompasses the full Health & Safety and Building Management remit including fire safety, supervising our backstage areas and construction of sets for productions, ensuring routine maintenance and risk assessments are carried out and that Italia Conti adheres to all statutory guidelines in the area of Health & Safety. You’ll be the first point of contact with the management of the Victoria Place complex and take lead responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of the building.
It’s an exciting role that presents a genuine opportunity to put your stamp on the institution and on our new site. If you’d relish the chance to join our committed, collegial, high-performing team we’d love to hear from you.
Flexibility is at our heart. By its nature, this role is site-based; however the part-time hours could be spread across the week to suit a candidate seeking a fulfilling role alongside childcare commitments.
For further details, download a full job description and person specification below. Please also download and complete our application form and equal opportunities monitoring form and return both to us together. Please email email@example.com and state clearly in the subject line of the e-mail the job title of the post for which you are applying.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 8 October 2023, 6.00pm.
Interviews will take place in mid-October 2023.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Only applicants shortlisted for interview will be contacted.
