COURSE OVERVIEW
The course covers all aspects of Musical Theatre performance - Acting, Singing and Dancing and will give you the chance to explore and develop your skills as a performer under the expert tuition of leading choreographers, directors and industry professionals.
This leads up to a final performance in Italia Conti’s own theatre at the end of the week.
The emphasis of the course is on enjoyment and will give a taste of the kind of training that you would receive were to come and study full time at Italia Conti.
The Summer School offers a unique opportunity to experience a Performing Arts Summer School under the direction of Italia Conti’s world-renowned teaching faculty.
COURSE SUMMARY
Booking now open for our Italia Conti Summer Schools. The Summer School will include workshops from four Musicals, a range of dance, acting and singing classes, with sessions covering Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Commercial and Contemporary Dance, culminating in an end-of-week performance on the last day of the course. A great experience for those already receiving lessons and a wonderful opportunity for those new to performing arts, to come along, join in, and learn what life is like at Italia Conti.
Subject to Government Guidelines, if required all courses will move online at discounted rate (10%), except 5-7 yr old course in Guildford which will be cancelled, and all fees will be refunded in full.
The courses culminate in an end-of-week performance in our Studio Theatre, Arts Centre for Guildford participants.
All participants will receive a free Italia Conti T-shirt. Lunch and accommodation not included.
COURSE STRUCTURE
The Summer School runs for one week during the summer holidays and a full week booking only is considered. A typical day may include a Ballet class, Jazz class, Acting, Singing and Musical Theatre, plus additional workshops.

Arts Centre:
5 - 7 years (Monday - Thursday 9.30am - 3pm / Friday 9.30am - 4pm)
8 - 11 years (Monday 9.30am - 5pm, Tuesday - Friday 10am - 5pm)
12 - 16 years (Monday 9.30am - 5pm, Tuesday - Friday 10am - 5pm

PERFORMANCE
Students are given the opportunity to take part in a performance showcasing what they have learnt at the end of the week. This will take place in Italia Conti's own performance spaces.
End of Week performance: We hope subject to Government Guidelines at the time of Summer School to welcome family members to the performance on the Friday afternoon. Ticket numbers will be limited, further details will be released nearer the time.

DEPOSIT & PAYMENT OF FEES
Please complete the application form below and note a deposit of 25% is required and must be submitted at the same time as applying. Please note that the payment page must be completed at end of the application form. Failure to do so, will mean that your application has not been processed. On receipt of the application form and payment, you will automatically receive an acknowledgement email by return. It is possible to pay for the course in full in advance if preferred. If not, you will receive a reminder for the outstanding balance a month before the course commences. All fees must be paid in full before the course commences. If it becomes necessary to move the course online, then a 10% reduction in the fee will be refunded.
ASSOCIATE SCHOOL STUDENTS
There is a 10% discount for any current Conti students at Associate Schools.
FURTHER INFORMATION
AGES
Students are only accepted between the ages of 5 - 16 years.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
No audition is required for this course as we wish to encourage participation in the arts for all abilities.
ACCOMMODATION
Italia Conti regrets it does not offer boarding facilities to Summer School students. Italia Conti is a 'day' school and students accepted on the summer course are responsible for finding their own accommodation.
WELFARE
Students will be in the care of experienced house staff during class hours and student safety is of the utmost importance.
T-SHIRT
All students will receive with a free Italia Conti Summer School t-shirt.

APPLICATION
Application to the Summer School can be made using our application form.
Applicants must complete the form and pay the deposit (25%) in order to hold your place on the course. Upon receiving your application we will contact you with further information. The remaining balance must be paid prior to the course commencement date, but can also be paid upon application if you wish.
Deposit fees are non-refundable. These fees act as both an administration fee for processing your application and holding your place on the course.
In line with our admissions policy, Italia Conti reserves the right to alter or withdraw offers at any point.
