WORK FOR US
LEAD TEACHER OF HISTORY
Fixed term for 1 year.
Are you an outstanding and experienced secondary history teacher?
Would you relish the opportunity to teach talented pupils at one of the UK’s leading performing arts institutions on a part-time basis for a year?
Do you have a kind, compassionate and supportive approach?
At Italia Conti our students are among the most talented in the performing arts industry and a common aspiration for the very best unites us all. Sadly for us, the onset of COVID-19 has meant that we are no longer able to offer provision for students aged 11-16 and our secondary school is closing at the end of the 2020-21 academic year.
Throughout our 109-year history we have prided ourselves on bringing out the best in all our pupils, delivering the highest possible standards of teaching, learning and assessment through our unique ethos. We have been consistently rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and ‘Excellent/Good’ by the Independent Schools’ Inspectorate, and we enjoy a stellar reputation in the sector.
And that is something that will continue throughout the next year.
We have a vacancy for a part-time, stand-alone Lead Teacher of History to see our pupils through to a triumphant end. Whilst we would not be in a position to offer any work beyond the end of next academic year, we can promise a rewarding and enjoyable year for the right candidate willing to take on a part-time role in a unique environment.
For an informal conversation about the role, please contact HR Manager, Tim Rounding firstname.lastname@example.org.
To apply, please submit a letter of application and an up-to-date CV to: email@example.com by 23 June 2020.
Interviews will take place in w/c 29 June 2020.
Applicants must have an unblemished, proven record of success and share Italia Conti’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the performing arts. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and online / public domain checks in accordance with safer recruitment procedures.
