Janine Eaton

Principal

Janine began dancing at the age of two and a half, beginning a lifelong passion for ballet and performing arts.

At the age of 15, she successfully auditioned for Italia Conti and began the full-time three-year training course in 1976.

Her professional performance work includes Pandora’s Box at the Young Vic Theatre and touring revue productions, alongside appearances in television documentaries and pilots.

Janine has also choreographed professional pantomimes and children’s productions, written poetry and plays, created Brighton Fringe productions, and founded a Community Ballet Academy.

She is a qualified LAMDA teacher, Early Years dance specialist, Associate Teacher of the ISTD in Ballet, Tap, and Modern, and was accepted onto the RAD teacher training course.

Teaching, choreography, and production have remained her lifelong passion, particularly nurturing young students she affectionately refers to as her “Ballet Babies”.

Janine has taught West End performers, recording artists, professional ballet dancers, playwrights, and Olivier Award winners.

In 1985, whilst raising two young children, Janine became one of the founding Principals of Italia Conti Associate Schools, establishing both Reigate and Guildford.

Alongside teaching, Janine also writes poetry, novels, children’s stories, and acting scripts. Her first novel is soon to be published.
