About Us
Italia Conti Associates Petersfield are rated 5 stars and are finalists for the Club Hub Awards, making us one of the UK’s most prestigious performing arts schools.
We offer classes in Musical Theatre, Singing, Street, Commercial, Tap, Contemporary, Ballet, Acting, and LAMDA.
Our classes are available for students aged 3 to 18 years and take place on Saturdays.
Italia Conti’s reputation is renowned worldwide and has always recognised that the industry demands excellent training standards in all areas. Our aim has always been to develop courses that fulfil these goals.
No audition is required, as we wish to encourage participation in the arts for all abilities.
Whether it is for recreation, physical and social development, or as a serious step towards a long-term career in the performing arts, the emphasis is always on enjoyment and first-class training.
Our students are taught and cared for by experienced, trained, DBS-checked staff.

What We Do
Acting
Depending on age and ability, classes may cover improvisation, role play, character and script work, vocal technique, and performance skills.
Students develop physical and vocal performance techniques whilst working on scripts and productions.
Musical Theatre
A combination of acting, singing, and dancing through songs and scenes from well-known musicals.
Students are encouraged to develop confidence, creativity, and performance skills.
Ballet Conditioning
Classes designed to strengthen ballet technique and improve muscle memory, coordination, balance, alignment, flexibility, and stability.
Available for students aged 6 to 18 years.
Pocket Performers
Classes for students aged 3 to 5 years focusing on storytelling through movement, dance, and singing.
Sessions support flexibility, balance, and basic technique development to prepare students for Primary Ballet and Tap.
Tap
ISTD Tap syllabuses available from Preliminary level through to Advanced, depending on ability.
Examinations are offered to students who meet the required standard.
Singing
Students study breathing, vocal support, group singing, solo singing, Pop, Rock, and Musical Theatre repertoire.
Classes are designed to develop confidence and vocal technique.
Commercial Street/Jazz
Students learn commercial dance styles inspired by music videos, including popping, locking, Hip Hop influences, and expressive performance.
Classes develop rhythm, coordination, self-esteem, and confidence.
Contemporary
Students learn to move in a creative and expressive way whilst developing posture, balance, flexibility, and fitness.
Suitable for students with little or no previous dance experience.
LAMDA
LAMDA classes support communication skills, spoken performance, creativity, and confidence.
Students explore Public Speaking, Mime, Acting, Verse and Prose, Musical Theatre, and Reading for Performance.
Grades 6, 7, and 8 are included within the UCAS tariff.
Private Lessons
One-to-one lessons tailored to the individual student’s goals and development needs, helping students progress more quickly.
Jazmine Peterson
Co-Principal
Jazmine began training at Italia Conti Guildford Associates School at the age of 3 before progressing onto the Italia Conti Professional Course.
She excelled in dance, acting, and singing whilst also achieving A Levels in Performing Arts and Dance alongside dual BA/BSc (Hons) degrees in Business and Psychology.
Since 2011, Jazmine has built a successful career within the property industry, progressing into management, whilst also launching her own travel business, JazVentures.
A professionally trained dancer with ZooNation UK Dance Company, Jazmine has performed in the West End and worked across television and film.
With more than a decade of teaching experience, her energetic approach continues to inspire young performers at Italia Conti Petersfield.
Jordana Traviss
Co-Principal
Jordana began training at Italia Conti Guildford Associates School at the age of 5 before graduating from the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in 2011.
She enjoyed a successful career as a professional dancer and singer, performing on cruise ships and in a range of productions.
Jordana later completed a BA (Hons) in Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting.
Alongside her role as Co-Principal at Italia Conti Petersfield, she also runs Sweaty Mama, a fitness business offering classes for mothers and their children.
Teaching Team
Arwen Rayner – Musical Theatre & Commercial Street
Arwen is a passionate musical theatre performer and dance teacher who has been dancing since the age of two.
After graduating from The Brighton Academy with a BA (Hons) in musical theatre, she has worked on professional dance contracts abroad and is now excited to inspire the next generation of performers.
She’s thrilled to be joining the team and looks forward to helping every student grow in confidence and reach their full potential.
Beverley Norton – Ballet, Contemporary & Tap
Beverley has been dancing since the age of 5 and has always had a passion for performing. She studied at D&B Academy of Performing Arts with many qualifications under her belt.
She has worked professionally including Disneyland Paris as a Disney character!
Beverley loves to teach and explore a wide range of dance styles and will put everything into her classes to ensure her students get the most out of class.
She is super excited to be apart of the Conti team and to share her love and knowledge to the stars of the future!
Dylan Jones – Singing
Dylan Jones is a Musical Theatre and Singing Teacher with experience working across leading specialist performing arts institutions, including Arts Educational & The University of Chichester. He works with students across a range of levels, teaching, Vocal Technique, Ensemble Singing and Acting Through Song.
Dylan trained in Musical Theatre Performance at the University of Chichester, graduating in 2021, and has over eight years’ experience with the Estill Voice Model. He holds Estill Figure Proficiency Certification (EFP) and is currently progressing through the Estill Master Trainer pathway.
Passionate about helping performers develop both their technical ability and artistic individuality, Dylan creates a supportive and encouraging environment while maintaining professional standards. His teaching combines practical performance experience with a strong understanding of the demands of specialist training, auditions and progression within the performing arts.
Phoebe Veale – Pocket Performers
Phoebe is currently at the prestigious Italia Conti Theatre School on the 3 year BA (Hons) Musical Theatre degree course, for which she was awarded 100% talent scholarship.
She has trained in all genres for 15 years, where she’s competed at a national level, gained distinctions in all her vocational exams, trained with internationally renowned choreographers and been lucky enough to book professional work!
Phoebe is so excited to be a part of the Italia Conti Petersfield faculty to watch the next generation of artists grow!
Sophia- Ellis Shipp - Private Lessons
Phoebe is currently at the prestigious Italia Conti Theatre School on the 3 year BA (Hons) Musical Theatre degree course, for which she was awarded 100% talent scholarship.

Joanne Griffiths - Acting & LAMDA
Sophia began dancing at the age of two, training at Southsea School of Dance, where she completed all RAD and ISTD grades, developing a strong foundation in classical ballet.
Sophia was a Royal Ballet Associate and later a Senior Associate with Ballet Rambert.She went on to perform with London Children’s Ballet, appearing in the West End world premiere of Little Lord Fauntleroy and has also danced at the prestigious Sadler’s Wells Theatre.
Sophia continued her professional training at Stella Mann College of Performing Arts, where she further refined her classical technique alongside her performance studies, graduating with a degree in Musical Theatre.
Since graduating, Sophia has worked professionally as a dancer and has appeared in a BBC series.
Classically trained with a deep love for ballet, Sophia continues to perform while sharing her knowledge and experience with young dancers.

For students aged 3 to 18 years.
Entry
No audition is required for our classes, as we wish to encourage participation in the arts for all abilities. We offer a free trial session before you commit to enrolling. This can be arranged by emailing: associatespetersfield@italiaconti.co.uk
Uniform
Uniforms can be purchased via our website and collected at reception www.italiacontipetersfield.sumupstore.com
Fees
All fees are based on a 10-week term.
Full term fees must be paid on or before the first day of term.
In the event of withdrawal, half a term's written notice is required or the equivalent fee will be payable in lieu.
Additional Information
The safety and wellbeing of our students is of paramount importance at Italia Conti Associates.
Our students are taught and cared for by experienced, trained, DBS-checked staff, and a minimum of two trained First Aiders are always present.
We recommend students bring plenty of water and snacks with them to sessions.
Many of our students progress onto our full-time professional training courses.
The Associate classes and courses are the perfect stepping stone for this.
Italia Conti Petersfield has close links with the professional world of performing arts and regularly offers workshops and masterclasses led by specialists in their field.
Additional workshops are also offered through holiday courses.
The Italia Conti Agency holds auditions for Associate School students to gain representation.
Successful students have been put forward for a variety of roles across television and theatre.
