Italia Conti’s Dance Summer School offers an immersive week of training across a comprehensive range of dance styles.
Designed for aspiring dancers aged 12 to 18, this intensive programme provides a taste of what it is like to train at one of the UK’s leading conservatoires, building technique, strength, flexibility and performance skills in a vibrant, supportive environment.
The week culminates in a sharing performance for friends and family, giving students the chance to showcase everything they have achieved together.

Dates | School 2: Monday 23 August to Friday 27 August 2027
Day | Monday to Thursday: 9am to 5pm
Time | Friday: 9am to end of performance sharing (Time TBC)
Please note that lunch and accommodation are not included.
Students will be divided into groups according to age. There will be a short sharing performance on the final day (times of sharings to be confirmed nearer the time).
We hope to welcome family members to the performances on the Friday afternoon. Ticket numbers will be limited, further details will be released nearer the time.

There are many options for hotels in the local area. Participants 16+ looking for a more immersive university-taster experience can contact halls of residence providers who often have availability in the summer months.

I feel like I came into Conti with probably quite specific ideas on what I thought I would end up being. And I feel like it’s very easy to put yourself in a box and sort of have expectations for yourself. Whereas I feel like Conti has definitely pushed me to do things that maybe I would have been scared to do.
I feel prepared to do all these things that scared me before.
You get to work with people who have different techniques and different ways of working. also people who are in the industry. You’re not only getting taught by industry professionals every day, but you’re getting an insight in the projects from someone who’s actually currently working in the industry.
There are smaller classes in order to allow the teacher to have that closer bond, relationship, one-on-one time with the students and really give them feedback, not generalised feedback, feedback that they need.
