Posy Sterling trained at Italia Conti Acting before establishing a career across theatre, film and television. Her stage work includes Dixon and Daughters for the National Theatre, as well as productions with Clean Break, the Royal Court and Arcola.
She has since built a growing screen career, with television credits including World on Fire 2 and film credits including The Outrun and Lollipop. In 2023, she was named one of Screen International’s Stars of Tomorrow, marking her out as one of the industry’s emerging talents.
Her lead performance as Molly in Lollipop brought major recognition and established her as a notable new talent in British film.
Posy Sterling won the British Independent Film Award for Breakthrough Performance (2025) for her role as Molly in Lollipop. She was also nominated for the EE Rising Star Award at the BAFTA Film Awards (2026). In 2023, she was named one of Screen International’s Stars of Tomorrow.
