Newton Faulkner

Biography

Newton Faulkner trained at Italia Conti before establishing himself as one of Britain’s most distinctive singer-songwriters. His debut album, Hand Built by Robots (2007), reached number one on the UK Albums Chart and was certified double platinum — a remarkable achievement for an artist who had crafted something genuinely original within the British music landscape.

The album produced the UK Top 10 single Dream Catch Me (UK #7) alongside further singles including Teardrop and I Need Something. Newton went on to release several further studio albums that charted in the UK Top 10, and his live performances continue to be celebrated for his distinctive percussive fingerstyle guitar technique. He also appeared in the film Four Minute Warning.
