Naomi Campbell studied at Italia Conti in the early 1980s before becoming one of the defining figures of the international fashion industry. In 1988, she became the first Black woman to appear on the cover of French Vogue (Vogue Paris), followed in 1989 by becoming the first Black woman on the September cover of American Vogue — milestones that carried profound cultural significance far beyond the fashion world. Alongside modelling, she has pursued work in television and music, and established herself as a businesswoman and philanthropist committed to advancing diversity and representation within the industry.
