Julianne Hough

Biography

Julianne Hough trained at Italia Conti in the early 2000s before rising to international prominence as a professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars, where she won the competition in two seasons. She later served as a judge on the programme and returned as co-host in 2023.

Her film credits include Burlesque, Footloose and Safe Haven, and in 2016 she played Sandy in FOX’s live television production of Grease Live!. In 2022, she made her Broadway debut in POTUS — a natural step for a performer of her stature. Alongside her work in dance and acting, she released her self-titled debut album in 2008, which reached number one on the Billboard Country Albums chart.

Awards & Recognition

Julianne won two Mirrorball Trophies as a professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars (Seasons 4 and 5). She always received a Shared Primetime Emmy Award win for Outstanding Choreography (2015, with Derek Hough).

Additionally, she holds Emmy nominations for Outstanding Choreography and her debut album reached #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart.
